To Islanders----Pickford and Hage
To Montreal----Barzal and 2026 1st----13th OA.
To Montreal----Barzal and 2026 1st----13th OA.
Islanders are looking at getting younger. Hage and Barzal is even.lol what how does this make sense for the islanders?
He plays on the wing for us because we are heavy on centers but when needed he is a center.is barzal a true c or better suited on the wing?
The Islanders are already non competitive rolling out the same old crap. Getting younger while getting 2 players we very much need.Pass. Those MTL pieces seem good but not interested in making the team less competitive with Schaefer around.
Would love to know for who. A good young stud Center and good young RH Dman are not easy to come by.Pass.
I like those MTL prospects but I thinkr we can do bette tbh for Barzal and the 13th overall
They may very well turn out that way, but let's pump the brakes just a little. They haven't played an NHL game yet. They're complete unknowns at the NHL level.Would love to know for who. A good young stud Center and good young RH Dman are not easy to come by.
The 13th OA hasn't played an NHL game yet either. There is always a risk. They may very well turn out that way, but let's pump the brakes just a little. They haven't played an NHL game yet. They're complete unknowns at the NHL level.
But Mat Barzal has. That's the huge difference there. The 13th OA hasn't played an NHL game yet either. There is always a risk.
Barzal is a proven player at 29 years old with 10 NHL seasons to his resWhy are Montreal going for 1st rounders? We need to be getting proven players if we are shipping out top prospects.
We are not anywhere close to a cup contender. Maybe not a complete rebuild but a major retool is necessary. Getting younger is the key.But Mat Barzal has. That's the huge difference there.
Brock Nelson was traded for a 1st and Cal Ritchie, a solid prospect who played NHL games and looked solid and promising as a future long-term NHL center.
I assure you if Barzal is traded it will not just be a futures deal with complete unknowns, let alone throwing in the 13th OA for the hell of it.
I don't disagree at all and I pray Darche does a retool of some degree this summer. But that move as proposed would set this team back even further, I assure you of that.We are not anywhere close to a cup contender. Maybe not a complete rebuild but a major retool is necessary. Getting younger is the key.
Yes I know who Barzal is but we won’t be targeting the 1st in a return unless it’s to flip elsewhere. If Isles are tearing it to down to get younger would rather have Pulock coming back instead of a 1st - obviously Habs add moreBarzal is a proven player at 29 years old with 10 NHL seasons to his res

Even though unknown but that is exactly the target. Please give an example of a better deal for Barzal and 13th.I don't disagree at all and I pray Darche does a retool of some degree this summer. But that move as proposed would set this team back even further, I assure you of that.
There is value in Barzal+13th overall. A lot of value that could bring in something much more significant than two unknown prospects. That kind of package can land a Top 6F or Top 4D in the right deal.
If you're talking about a serious retool, you monitor the Matthews/Brady Tkachuk situations and offer Barzal+13th as a starting offer and go from there.Even though unknown but that is exactly the target. Please give an example of a better deal for Barzal and 13th.
