For the most part we almost only get MLS games on TV when a Canadian team is involved or on special occasions like yesterday. But there's at least a few matchups per week worth watching. I had MLS Live last year and it's worth investing in if you plan on watching some games. The quality is really good.
 
If Joey claims that a big name player will not affect attendance, then I wonder how he can explain that the 2 games with biggest attendance at SS were against Orlando (Kaka) and NYCFC (Villa).

Well, to be fair, those games are viewed as "events". Next time they come, people won't come FOR them as much. Same thing if we were to sign a big name. Unless the guy produces and makes us win (which could happen), the boost in attendance would only be temporary. That's the nature of the Montreal mrket.

Build a winner and people will come. Now, do we need a big name to build a winner; that's the real debate.

Winning our last 4 home games and doing well in general since the end of our CCL run can also have an impact (no pun intended) on the attendance. Having a big name come to town (a guy you'll see once during the year) helps boost the attendance. I'll keep saying it, if we sign a big name you'll see the attendance go up but it'll then drop pretty quickly if we don't get the results. Again it's just my opinion but winning games and holding a playoff spot will bring in fans IMO.

Edit: Just read JS#1fan's response, I think we see eye to eye :laugh:

****s rough mang. Been busy as of late. Girlfriends make you have a life man. I can't just sit down on HFB and watch sports all day no more :cry:

She does dawg, I even made her watch the whole draft and now she knows who Connor McDavid is. @Artpeur As long as you can grow a nice beard she'd probably consider dating you man :laugh:

Most importantly, she knows that the Impact suck cause they always lose when she watches the games chez nous. I've been on vacation though which is why I haven't been catching the games.

I've been dying to see Cabrera and Ciman play together since his first game against Pachuca and I missed my opportunity :shakehead

Wow, she watched the draft? My girlfriend only watched the sports news on TV and those were her two comments about the draft...

It says that the Impact is interested in Larrivey? In the title it says that he has an offer from Montreal.
