also Can IMFC extend Orji for 1 more year ?
IIRC Orji has an option to buy. That's the bigger question. I'd he doesn't mess with TAM/GAM/DP money I would welcome it. Young and good MLS quality.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Renard does with the rest of the backline. Another good young CB (ideally tall and good in the air) would be a godsend for this team. Think Fanni and Camacho are both done here after the season.

You need to fix the CB situation, get a legit #9 and you either bring back Bojan or get a real #10 mastermind 230 IQ .

I was screaming for a better GK, but I think they keep Diop until Pantemis takes over and that's the right thing to do.

We bring back all the wingers minus Ballou and we're set.

So the rumours that said Binks wanted to go were bullshit?

I didn't see those rumors. He was transferred to Bologna for an unknown amount (most likely pennies on the dollar). The rumblings were that he would go tryout for Bologna in January and that if he didn't make the cut he'd be back with the Impact. It was also expected that if he remained in Italy the Impact would be compensated player-wise by Saputo and Bologna for the loss of Binks Sounds like Bologna doesn't think he's ready.. Also the Impact will probably get a decent chunk of the transfer fee should he be sold by Bologna. Since Bologna own his rights, Saputo circumvents the MLS share and has more flexibility on how he spends the profit.

It seems like he's happy in Montreal, the situation is not easy with the frontiers and the Covid, but he's getting what he wanted, which is experience on the field against pros. He would not have gotten that chance in the EPL or most top flight leagues in Europe.

He's also struggled more as of late. Teams are beginning to abuse his lack of acceleration and has not played as well as earlier this season. I mean he's still very young. If he works on getting stronger and faster, he very well could succeed in Europe.

Don't know if anyone heard Renard on 91,9, but he said one of the factors behind transferring Taider was that Bojan played better without him. Wouldn't normally read too deeply into it, but it would be strange to transfer a DP mid in favour of a player you didn't plan on resigning. Also mentioned looking for more "leadership" in the next window.

Really refreshing to hear him talk openly about the team and plan going forward.

I think I heard that from Filosa. They were talking about how players are tired of the situation with COVID-19. He had also mentioned Camacho, Wanyama and Bojan.

VERY good news, Binks is by far the best defender we've got. If anything, I'd like the team to find some help for the guy and not rely on him so damn much.

Not true at all, Waterman is our best. Binks only looks good in 3 man CBs but I get why Waterman is overlooked. He is from nowhere Saskatchewan and Binks is from Tottenham academy but Waterman is miles better in every aspect. I dont get why is everyone happy, he is as good as gone in 2022 with no profit to Impact.

I am not surprised because its Impact where they are lazy in scouting, but Im tired of developping players for Bologna. Thankfully there is a rule in Serie A that teams can not sign more than 2 non European players per season.

ffs, I hope not.

I knew from day 1 Renard was a fraud, he is posing like he is doing something serious but all he did in one year that came from him all the way was Kizza and give every excuse in the book. If Bojan and everyone else are returning next season, may as well just play the kids and build for 2022 because 4 goals 20 games is pathetic for a so called DP.

So who do we got for next year that's starter quality? I'll just assume Bojan gets extended.

Forwards: Lassi, Quioto, Bojan

Midfield: Is Wanyama staying?

Defenders: Binks (Kizza and ZBG could be potential starters)

I want to see Toye more often

Since we have an "MLS" type of striker in Toye, I wonder if we should look into an "MLS" moulded defender in replacement of Fanni/Camacho. Someone that knows the league well and is solid.

Kendall Waston has just been reeleased by Cincinnati, past his prime but still good. Could be a solid #3 CBs and won't cost an International spot I think. However just like I said last year instead of a 'blanc' it's a 'henry' so you just know this team will bring back the fallen general ciman...

I think the projecting 2021 line-up should be...

Quioto - XXXX- Bojan ( Non- DP 2 to 3 year extension)

XXX-Wanyama-Piette

Kizza-Binks-XXXX- Brault Guillard.

Diop.

Back-ups

LW: 1) Lassi Lappalainen. 2) Mathieu Choinière
Striker: 1)Mason Toye. 2) AJH
RW: 1) Orji Okwonkwo. 2) Ballou-Tabla

oddensive midfieler: 1) Amar Sejdik
N.6: 1) Emmanuel Maciel, 2) Steeven Saba
box-to-box: Shamit Shome

LB: 1) Jorge Corrales
CBs: 1) Joel Waterman. 2) Karifa Yao.
RB: Clément Bahiya.

GK: Pantemis.

With Taider gone, plus hopefully Camacho, Urruti, Fanni and Raitala not too far behind, the club will have both cap space and the international spots to go find some solid players.

Ideally Raitala leaves, but the teams seems to like him a lot, plus he's quite versatile. But having an international spot lost on an average player is not ideal, far from it. Other than that I'm in complete agreement. I'd be fine if Maciel was the starting left mid too. Renard, for crying out loud, find a proper goal scorer at CF. We also need a rock at CB, a year-one Ciman, Ike Opara or even better a Mavinga.

Seeing talk of forfeit for MLS teams if they have Covid outbreaks. Any news about NE Revs situation?
