People are wary because we just got a new mod. They're being tentative. Watch yourself, calm before the storm.

Even playing with Markov Emelin is clearly bad.

Diaz has been riding Markov's shotgun early this year. He's never going to be any less soft, that's for sure. Questionnable decisions with the puck and very, very vulnerable in 1 on 1 battles. This Gorges - Diaz pair is particularly weak along the boards.

Gorges isn't having a particularly strong start to the season either...so much for "carrying Subban like a baby" and Gorges being our best defender. He's great at what he does but he needs Subban.

Habs D isn't that great outside of Subban and Markov. Even Gorges is being exposed because he's not playing with a bigger guy (either Gill or Subban). Emelin has been awful. Diaz isn't a top 4 D - not yet anyway.
