Stop with the quality for quantity, unless the quality player wants out or has attitude issues, these trades never happen. At least you could have tried offering better quantitiy, i.e. Sergachev + Gallagher (still a no from Colorado I'm guessing).

If we want Duchene we have to give an equivalent player in a 1 vs 1 trade. The only valuable player they would take is Galchenyuk, which is a no for me.

That's just as terrible for the Avs as the OP is. A Potential Top 5 pick, a young Top 4D with Top 2 potential, another Top 40 pick, and a Chir Bigras?

Also, to the OP. Needs more Sergachev. Pretty sure a rumor came out after the draft the Avs were very high on Serg at the draft and it was likely he or Jost they were taking at 10 before Montreal made that decision for him.


Any trade for Duchene with MTL would almost certainly have Sergachev as the starting point. With something like a 1st and a B prospect or Top 9 roster player being the add.
