1. Hillen overreacts to Hagelin, doesn't prevent pass back to Stepan all alone in front of net.
2. Holtby isn't in the damn crease because he overreacts to Hillen.
3. Oleksy falls.
4. Johannson skates towards blue line, when the RD is standing behind the red line.
5. Backstrom is literally standing around nothing near the faceoff dot.

Nope blame the farthest Capitals player away from Stepan for the goal.

Good lord, are you serious?

I don't care if Holtby, Hillen, Olesky, Johansson and Backstrom were off in the corner having a circle jerk. That is no excuse for Ovechkin to completely give up on the play. It just looks funny seeing everyone out there at least giving an effort but Ovechkin just doesn't care at all about giving up a goal.

It doesn't matter who's mistake leads to a scoring chance, if you have a chance to stop the opposing team from scoring, you do it. Ovechkin makes no effort whatsoever. It is completely inexcusable.

What are you watching anyway? Ovechkin is clearly the closest player to Stepan when he scores, yet you say farthest.

Wow, pretty disturbing image:laugh:

But totally agree with your post.

Okay guys, I AM HERE - in Washington! Going to the Verizon Center for the game, sitting a few rows above the players benches and flaunting my Habs jersey!

I'd like to thank everyone for the arousing pics in the GDT - nice contrast to my buddy in the hotel room upstairs, blissfully snoring like the T-Rex from Jurassic Park and keeping me up the whole night. Which is why I'm sitting in the %#@&*% lobby and headed out in search of an omelette somewhere. The city is dead - almost every government employee is gone for Thanksgiving.

He appears to be a big OV fanboy, so he'll see what he wants to see.

For those who participated, consider yourselves lucky.

The Subway girl and Arizona girl are one thing. The crap posted in here is another. If it happens again, you'll receive a lenghty ban from this forum.

This is a hockey forum. Remember that.

I'm not an expert in the positional aspect of the game.. but I think it's his posture that OV has that is more deplorable.

Good news for me, I'm going out for a client lunch that will include many beers (and I'm taking a taxi.) Bad news, I probably won't be in any shape to particpate in any gametime threads.

Then again that's never stopped folks from posting before.

He's farthest originally because he's not backchecking! Imagine how close he'd been if he put some effort in. And that's the point of the gif - he's floating out there. It's like putting the other team on a brief PP when your forwards are lazy - and that's the definition of lazy right there.

Now - go back to your own forum and dwell on all that...

Have fun at the game. Sounds like you've got great seats too. Very cool to be able to see OV in his prime in Washington.

Thanks! It's my week to feel like a bigshot - saw Crosby get shut down at the Bell Centre five days ago, seeing Ovi tonight at Verizon (also going to the December game in Florida). It's one of the few good things about getting older - a bit more cash to spend and slightly more control over one's schedule. But that's it for my bragging rights; if I had real money and time, I'd do this Hab-hopping thing on a regular basis.

If I had to choose, I'd rather lose tonight and win against the Leafs tomorrow. Really would love to pull ahead of those smug Toronto ********. Maybe the pagan gods will smile and we'll win both, though I can't remember the last time the Habs won six straight.

Okay, time to go back and wake up my #$@*& snoring buddy. Couldn't even find a decent breakfast restaurant in downtown Washington. Everything's closed for the holiday.

I miss all of this game tonight due to work.

Stupid ass work. If only the Canadiens paid me to watch their games...

Really hope we can beat these guys again. Surprised Bournival is out and Parros is in. I dont mind giving parros some games (kind of like what MT has done with Murray and Cube) but id take out Moen for Parros this weekend. Let prust play with the 4th line and have Bournival help the offense on the Eller line.

If Bournival is healthy it is pure dumb to not have him in the line up, vs the Sabres he was the 4th line, creating chances and providing a ton of forecheck and energy. before that he was a goal scorer on the 2nd line when Briere and others were out injured.
If Parros must play, Moen should be on the sideline

5pm...weird start time, but whatever, I'll be here to watch it.

Just win...continue the streak, pull away from the Leafs. A win puts us 3rd in the division. :)
