Wow this is going to be a slaughter. Habs never built to hold up physically to 82 game seasons. The usual managerial failure. Reminds me of our usual December-February road trips swoons a la Carbo and the "bowling trip" in 2009. This feels and looks like that. We're junk and the negativity isn't overblown except when people say we're missing the playoffs. The East is too garbage for that. We'd have to go under .500 the rest of the year. Doable but I don't see it occurring.

Does MT ever play matchups? Like having your best shutdown players shadowing the opposing teams best players? I know he had Plek shadow Crosby and it worked but he doesn't do it against anyone else.

Well, in this case:

a) that goal was after icing, no change allowed.
b) they're in Dallas. MT doesn't get the match-up advantage unless he employs a change-on-the-fly strategy (like we see Toronto employ with Phaneuf, or Boston with Chara, for example).

From the Faceoff to the Goal took 20 seconds.

DD lost the faceoff (so surprising ..)
Subban never rushed the puck carrier in the corner
Desharnais went to cover the puck carrier with such intensity that my mouth dropped
Bouillon was looking at the girl in the 3rd stand.

Patch had nothing to do with that goal, covering the high D (Therrien awesome defensive scheme this year)
