I love Eller. The fact that he hasn't been given more opportunity is ridiculous. The fact that he's on the wing instead of DD or DLR is ridiculous.

Here's the thing though... MB is commited to Therrien as our coach. As idiotic as that is - it is what it is. And he's decided that Eller is his whipping boy. So at this point I almost want to see Eller moved just so he can salvage some of his career. His spirit is broken and it's ****ing sad to watch right now. He's not playing all that badly but you can see that his heart isn't in it at all.

Eller has more value to us than to any other team. He has performed in the playoffs. Plekanec performs during the season but I believe he does not compete in the playoffs.

For the right deal, I would certainly trade Plekanec. His attitude over the years, with Subban, hell even Sekac if true, his comments about playing like a little girl, his habit to always play "tough" like rubbing the glove in the face of opponents, his lack of chemistry with any winger *just remember last year with Vanek. I think that Eller or someone else can take over his defensive duties.

Pleks is our best centreman but you're not wrong when saying that Pleks underproduces and doesn't have chemistry with many wingers.

I'd trade him in the off-season, personally. But we don't have any huge, minute crunching centreman. Certainly not Galchenyuk, yet.

Because DLR got his second point in 12 games while playing well defensively? Imagine if we already had a guy who did those exact things and scored at a higher pace and was better at faceoffs. Shame Eller has different standards than the rest of the team.
