gotta love that the 4 skaters listed all have "grit", "skating" & "high hockey i.q" as attributes (granted mccaron/tinordi are good skaters "for their size").

maintaining our team speed while increasing the grit/iq factor will be fun to see over the next few seasons as these guys hopefully progress to full time NHL roles & avoid career derailing injuries (or get traded).

in 3 years, a roster looking something like this could be :D
(patches/eller/galch/gallagher/sekac/bournival as the veteran leadership, scherbak/mccaron/hudon/DLR as the young guns coming into their own…)

Patches - Galch - Sherbak
Hudon - Eller - McCarron
Sekac - DLR - Gallagher
Crisp?- Bournival - Weise

Subban - Tinordi
?? - Beaulieu
?? - ??

(some of the ?? likely to be filled by dietz, nygren, thrower, ellis, bennett et)

Price
Fucale (if he hasn't been moved yet)

of course, trades and injuries will change things in ways impossible to predict, but from a "build from within" pov, we certainly do have a nice collection of established young NHL talent and prospects with high NHL potential to build with.

Hopefully MB is saavy in navigating the cap/contract and UFA/trade realities to optimize the potential in place (which is, imo, most largely a credit to Timmins, whose work has maintained the consistency of quality young prospects through the leadership of multiple GM's).

Is this ordered in "ready to make the jump" or something ?

It's hard to tell from the information posted. If the people posting this put up a snippet I might bite, but I'm not clicking on a random link - sorry OP.

Plekanek...second line centre...trade Eller for a 1st or second round draft pick.
