No doubt about it, Emelin is definitely trying to transition from hitting to using his stick/more positionally sound.

I still hate that we have the smurf-aura. Growing up I idolized these larger-than-life heros, Joe Sakic, Lemieux, Carbonneau (shut up, I loved him)... They were all huge and awesome at everything. Today our captain is a 5'7" mercenary who can't shoot without giving the panel replacement guys a jitter.

Carbo was under 6', if he was playing today this board would call him a smurf and propose trading him for Boyle.

I say this as someone who is 6'3" and loves making fun of short people, the height insecurity among Habs fans is embarassing. This isn't basketball.

No they wouldn't, at least not anyone that isn't on my ignore list. The insecurity, which I'll admit to, exists because THE BRUINS WON THE THE CUP the very year they pummeled the **** out of us.

Wow, so far this game is sloppy.

That was an example of a tunover by Desharnais that doesn't count as a "giveaway" for whatever reason. In other words, that stat is useless.

I hope you can speak Le french:rant:

I think I can when I'm drinking, but usually I'm accidentally speaking Spanish instead. :shakehead

First impression of DD44....not the most agile feet. You'll see a whole lot of dump and chase behind him from the opponent's forwards. He needs to keep it simple but he also needs to keep moving.

There's a bit of a difference between 6'0''/5'11''/5'10'' and 5'8''/5'7''/5'6''. One end is extremely common, the other is rarely and not ideal.
