Weak call IMO. Just because you "close your hand" on the puck, does not make it a penalty.

Emelin dropped it right after. Grey territory there.

I think he held it a bit, because I noticed it when it happened and thought there's a penalty.

I believe the new rule is that you can't have the puck in your open hand at all. You can knock it down with a closed fist or the outside, just not hold the puck while in the defensive zone.
