Marty sees hockey in a very Pep Guardiola way. His main challenge will be going from a developmental approach to a results based approach.

I'm assuming he feels once developed the results will naturally follow.

Either way I appeciate he type of hockey this organization ultimately wants to play. It's much better than the boring outdated slog we've been indoctrinated with for decades.

And yet Buffalo is also regressing despite bringing in a coach with 27 years of NHL head coaching experience. Maybe experience isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
When you trade players because you want to control their medical care you are both a bad human being and a bad GM.

When you draft players, put them on a bad team, wait a year or two, and then trade them for not fixing the team and they go make a good team better your organization is dysfunctional.

It’s tough getting out of the basement. Alot of teams stay there a while. Some, like the pens, stay there until they get generational players. Some just stay there.

It’s why Hughes shouldn’t be panicking or trading picks and prospects to win now.
