I hate losing Xhekaj every time we have to react.

He kind of have to wait for Armia and Dvorak to be gone to fix it. We have Armia, Dvorak, Anderson, Gallagher, Evans in the bottoms 6. There's no room for anything. If you go get a physical bottom 6 guy then it means Heineman is in the AHL which i'm not sure would be good for him. AT one point too many bodies int eh AHL means some wont play. I don't want to defend KH but he had his hands tied. I've been saying this since day 1 summer of 2025 it's where it will be for KH. This is where he'll have to start managing the team and put his stamp. I know everyone is like send them to the AHL but it would send the wrong message to any UFA wanting to sign with us.

They need to give playing time to Tuch, Mailloux and Beck- maybe Davidson.
I'm massively concerned about Roy's ability to skate in the nhl

I wouldn't mind them calling up Hughes first. He's older and a UFA. If we're gonna keep him or get value for him, finding out sooner than later is important.

If Hughes looks good trade Monty if you can get more for him.

Am i alone to think it's not that bad of a game for such a young team 2 games in two days against a very experienced team after a long delay. I mean if you remove Matheson blunders and put a real NHL goalie in the net it would be a much closer game imo. I might be too much of a fan drinking some kool aid though dunno.
