The East division is a crapshoot, all depends on who gets hot. Don’t really see a front runner yet, Ti-Cats are snake bit, always seem to let games slip away in the final minutes. Not convinced about Riders and Lions being for real but that Rourke kid looks like a true gunslinger! Bombers defence and Stamps with Bo still look like the teams to beat in my opinion. Still a long way to go folks. I do enjoy what I’ve seen so far, looks like most teams are adjusting to the new hash marks, seems to have opened up the field which I do believe was the intended outcome.

Being an American I have to comment on how much I enjoy the different intricacies of the Canadian version of football! I find it fascinating that they have kept some of the old rugby quirks in your game! I sincerely hope these things never change for the benefit of “Americanizing” the game! Truly a great spectacle that is even better in person, which I fortunately have been able to witness! Please don’t ever change!

We need 4 downs. League will die. The Euro league, although still very small, is growing stronger, thus meaning that US-born players will eventually be going where the bucks are. Major markets in Canada will not buy 3-down football anymore.

The guy can't even do the one job he was hired for properly, let's let him take on even more. Went well last time he tried doing both.
Hopefully the owner is forcing him to prove the roster he assembled is a winning one or it is his ass canned next.

Maciocia is a disaster. late stage Jim Popp all over again. Resign and go back to U of M

Jones wasn't the problem. I know Maciocia inherited him, but his player personnel decisions are at the root of this

I had a feeling after he decided to go on a 3rd and goal instead of taking the three points. It failed and you could read the look on his face. It said:" f***, I just blew it". I personally never like him as a coach, too stoic and emotionless.

I actually agree. Personally I can't stand the 3 downs and that is the reason why I don't watch LCF anymore. You fail on the first down and that is pretty much it. 4 downs allow for more creativity because it is ok if your first try is not great. It also allows to try, say, a 3-yards play that brings you to 2 and 7, which opens the play book even more for two more tries.

To each his own I guess.

Man, this thread was way back there. Now, we'll find out if all the changes will bear fruit. Visiting Elks are worse than us, should be an easy wiin.

We lost to them already lol. Like playcalling on offense given to AC so he can have another scapegoat if the team doesn't improve
