What 3 fights ? You mean Xhekaj throwing punches to that softy and then the Habs losing fights ?

You mean the game where where the Habs just talked to him and Dach was forced to go after Greig because he tried another cheap hit ?

You mean where Guhle went and told Puljujarvi to don't do it again ? I mean, it's great for the team Guhle didn't try anything as he'd get hurt.

They once again just skated there and weee like heyyyyy.

Guhle even just half-assed skated over after the Puljujarvi hit.

Of your examples the only one who did anything was Xhekaj.

You can't fight and that's fine, target that player, or their better players with hits, which the team doesn't.

There's bound to be something tonight so we can watch the Habs respond to nothing like normal.
The last game against LA reminded me of the Edmonton game where Kassian ran over Montembeault,no pushback and completely checked out. Again this year we’re a team that when the other team needs a morale boost because of a bad span of games we gladly fold like a cheap suit and accommodate . like Toronto yet way less talented we’re going in circles. Remember that saying where they say the NHL isn’t a development league ? that should apply to coaching as well.

He already looks to be playing hurt.
Yes, his play has been at best mediocre. And if Matheson can’t play tonight those calling for Hughes to trade him will get an opportunity to see what the team looks like without Matheson playing his usual 26 to 28 minutes. What they see may not be very pleasant.

If Matheson and Guhle are out this will not be pretty.

I'm going with a resounding NO on that one, but we're still at a point where every game and point matter.

At the end of the year, where we finish will matter in the grand scheme of things, playoffs or not.
It won’t matter, and we shouldn’t be risking our franchise cornerstone to win meaningless games
