The Senators will be looking to get back in the win column tonight after heading into the 4-Nations break on a three-game losing skid. Most recently, they took on the Florida Panthers on February 8 in Sunrise. Falling by a score of 5-1, captain Brady Tkachuk was the lone goal scorer for the Senators.

Tonight, the Senators will face off against their division rival the Montreal Canadiens. With a rivalry that has been going strong for years now, games between the Senators and Canadiens always promises for exciting hockey.

I don't have an issue with Tkachuk and Sanderson missing this game if the night off will put them in a better position to perform down the stretch. It doesn't serve anyone's interests to have them limping into the home stretch.

If they are injured or there is a substantial risk making a minor injury worse fine... Other than that they should be at the morning skate and playing imo.

I think its just additional rest for them and they will play.. guess

What benefit is a morning skate for them when they are literally in game shape and just had a game thursday? I am more worried about the others starting slow

Some of you guys are thinking based on emotion

I get your point .. the reason would be support for their team mates... But if they are just getting some extra rest I am cool with that,
We'll see at game time.. Like I said I think T7 and S85 will play unless they are injured.
 
Well, that sucks. Have tickets for this game tonight...might entertain the thought of giving them away. If my 17-year-old boy doesn't object lol.

Support their teammates? How about the guys who had 2 weeks off being ready to play and supporting Brady and Sanderson who are helping put the nhl back on the north american map and in turn helping the cap go up. This was an NHLPA and NHL event....the players wanted this.

I think Tkachuk will play unless the team tells him to take a day off. Im more annoyed that our 2C and 3C aren't ready yet

I think the mindset that we should be upset that these players who played for 2 weeks and had one of the best moments the nhl has had in years is such a weird take esp if they want a morning skate off or even if they miss a game.

We are actually lucky that we had two weeks off as we would have played those games without Norris in Pinto

I think its awesome that the new generation of players are actually trying to expand the NHL and are trying to market themselves and the game.
