I agree with the thoughts above. Vince is 100% sick and deranged enough to do it. Thankfully Vince has people around him that have some sort of moral compass or in the very least an eye for knowing a potential PR nightmare.

Roman had leukemia. Roman beat leukemia. Yes. He's back insanely quickly but he also works an industry that likely has him checked very frequently whereas a normal person could have gone 6-8 months at least before they knew.

One thing Dave Meltzer always said after the Owen Hart death stuck with me. He was talking to someone who had been in the business for years and had worked for Vince, and the night of the show he told Dave he though it was possible the death was a hoax. Dave assured him it wasn't and couldn't believe this guy thought that. The guy replied "You have no idea how low Vince can sink when he wants to."

If Vince was going to work a cancer angle, it would be with himself. And yes, I do think he would do it. Even now.

nah the limo explosion was about 2 weeks before Benoit. Eddie died 2 years prior

Ahh. I was confused. People were pissed at the fake Vince tributes because it made a mockery of the real, and very emotional tributes to Eddie.

That was a weird year storyline. They were trying to start pushing Lasher, Trump was on the show doing all sorts of stupid stuff including at Mania with the hair shaving.

Ultimate face Donald Trump.

I read that the Woken gimmick is over. WWE ruins another fun thing.

Matt shouted a few "DELETE"s in his match last night. Bit of a mix of both I think.

I bet it disappears soon enough. Just my guess.

Matt said on Instagram that he's learned to control his Woken Warrior. I think it'll be like the Demon where he can bring it out if necessary, but he'll be regular Matt otherwise.

FWIW, I don't think the Woken stuff worked too well in a WWE setting, and in the WWE, Matt & Jeff as a tag team is probably the best use of them.

Also, the WWE invoked a clause in Matt & Jeff's deals that automatically extend their contracts by a year, with a "significant pay raise".

Matt previously revealed that their contracts were ending at the end of the month.

I posted the video from WWE's own Youtube channel where he said that in the Smackdown thread. He even called Jeff Brother Nero in it.

I think Matt's health status prevented the Woken stuff from being fully explored.

I don't think Vince would be stupid enough to work a cancer angle. The backlash on that if exposed would be insane.

... Now, I can see Roman having an issue with his leukemia and Vince overblowing and exposing it in an attempt to get him over.

I've often wondered, Roman has had numerous, "Mysterious illnesses" since he came to the main roster. I kinda wonder if those were related to this.

That's the part I find most convincing, since Vince apparently thinks the fans WANT to see Roman over anyone/everyone else on the roster.

It's no surprise that most people here accept the fact that Vince will stop at nothing to get what he wants. His moral compass was found in broken the gutter, years ago.

- Meltzer reporting that Sami Zayn is clear to return.

I wonder if he gets involved with the Owens/Bryan/Kofi stuff at Fastlane and we get a Fatal Four-Way at Mania.

Could allow Kofi to win without Bryan or Owens taking the pinfall

I hope they keep him heel, he was really good at it and a million times more interesting.

Smackdown seems to be lacking faces though.

A couple of XFL things that have come out in some lawsuit involving the AAF (the other american football league).

The original plan for the AAF was to buy the XFL name from Vince for a stupid amount of money, $50m. Their offer is what provoked Vince into rushing to re-starting the XFL.

And another stupid thing was that the AAF was planning on having WWE pay them for to be on the WWE Network. Which is very wtf.
