Jim Montgomery was WAY down the list of problems with this team.
Historically, I've been one of Don Sweeney's biggest defenders on this board. But he lost me forever this summer. The return on the Ullmark trade was ridiculous. And the Lindholm and Zadorov deals look like boat anchors that'll make it hard for this franchise to keep their head above water in the coming years.
In a 96-hour period, Don Sweeney set this franchise up for years of failure.
If you think Jim Mongomery was a problem and wanted change, then that's fine. But don't tell me the roster that Don Sweeney put together isn't a bigger problem at this point.
