TIL Meltzer said Vince McMahon would have made Daniel Bryan World champion one day because he legitimately believed Bryan could kick anyone's ass if they made one mistake in a fight.

On that same note, he thought John Morrison was a chump who would lose in any fight.

For some reason, this is funny to me. The same guy with the lowest-tested ambition ever reportedly and made fun of the most by far in kayfabe is the same guy that Vince allegedly believes could kick anyone's ass if they make one mistake in a fight? lol

The only purpose of the USOC, from the start, is to put Cena over as a worker. **** the USOC.

It's also meant to elevate the US title to the point where Cena can legitimately say that his title is more important so it's also meant to feed Cena's ego and excuse his not being the WWE champ while also running down said champion.

This Roman promo is just unspeakably bad. It's like they realized nobody could remember why him and Bray are feuding so they just sent him out to recap the whole damn thing. He should never be cutting a promo longer than 3 lines.

Rusev jobbed out to Ryback and emasculated by Summer Rae. Just another wrestler capitalizing on the momentum from feuding with Cena.:sarcasm:

Ratings went down again. 3rd hour flirted with being under 3 mil. I'm shocked a Kane main event didn't bring in the viewers en masse.

"We're losing viewers dammit! We need something fresh! The audience isn't buying what we are selling anymore! Insert Big Show into the World Title feud with Kane and Rollins!"

I just read the results. Knew Charlotte got pinned, but didn't realize that Nikki wasn't even in that match.

I want to see more Sasha, but at the same time I'm terrified she's going to get ruined and just prefer for her to sit back and wait for people like Naomi and Brie to get buried.

The smartest thing he could do is say screw it, clear DB, and let's get him in the title picture. As much as the Reigns promo is clunky, I can at least respect that they mentioned the WWE title being in between them to at least show that the title has some meaning beyond the poorly-booked champion and that those two have a legitimate direction. Those that actually follow the story know that's what it is inevitably about but they never directly acknowledged it as far as I know but I don't watch Smackdown anymore so it's possible it was mentioned there at some point. To me, this is more important for Wyatt's character over Reigns just because Reigns has been in that picture chasing it down but not Wyatt.

Surprisingly, it's a 2.33 rating. The first hour really saved this rating. 2.32 from two weeks ago still stands as the lowest of the year, but this rating is down from 2.35 from last week.

I don't know how Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar are going to bring this show over 2.45 next week. Even that's stretching it at this point, imo. Flair, Michaels, Undertaker haven't been draws in a while (Undertaker without the streak is... no), and Lesnar's drawing power has significantly dwindled.

I too am doubting the legend appearances next week help matters much. Everybody knows that these guys are only going to be there next week. Taker will have his match with Brock at HIAC but that is overplayed as hell. It is like putting a band-aid on a wounded artery.

The biggest legend that could have popped a number (Austin) isn't even appearing anymore. We've all seen Flair, HBK, Taker, Lesnar far too often.

How do you know they aren't planning it as a surprise?

They're desperate for ratings and saving things as a surprise isn't what they do anymore? If they were saving him for a surprise, they would have never even put him on their site as being advertised to appear.

On a completely different note, Sting revealed in his documentary that he agreed to lose at Wrestlemania 31 to Triple H because he thought it was the last match of his career.

You have to be sure if you're going to do that
