And then they go to the main roster and die.

I have no idea why people want the Undisputed Era to be called up. They’d be destroyed in 3 months.

And no one can tell me otherwise. Vince would take one look at Adam Cole and wonder what the **** Triple H saw in a 5’10” guy who looks 170 pounds soaking weight and barely hits the gym. Y’all can argue it, but it’s true. It’s not even like Cole is ripped like a god like Balor is that would keep him afloat. We KNOW how Vince thinks. KOR and Fish would maybe have an okay run in a garbage tag division, Strong would end up on 205, and Cole would have no credibility.
I made a post a couple pages back. When someone was talking about calling up UE. They would be squashed in a handicap match vs Roman or something as soon as they were called up.

Tag matches involving Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley feel like some kind of Family Guy joke at this point.

If you watch last nights Firefly Fun House on YouTube, the "recommended videos" are actual kids shows

Everything about this gimmick is awesome

There's so much f***ing subtext to the shit.

The death of rambling rabbit was a Mercy kill.

The fact that Mercy is a buzzard and thus a type of vulture would suggest that rabbit was killed by somebody else.

This counts as a win for me, @M.C.G. 31 . I don't really win anything but it at least shows their scared booking resulted in an up from the 1s they hit last week.

And they'll be right back down because of ZERO consistency in their writing.

BTW kind of a cool detail, had anyone else noticed that the buzzard puppet in the firefly funhouse is supposed to be Waylon Mercy? He even dropped the “you know what I mean?” Catchphrase in the last vignette.

He’s going to die with control. Only then will Triple H take it over.

Vince’s mom is in her late 90s and still kicking. Triple H might die of old age and stress before Vince dies at this rate.
Vince's mom didn't take steroids tho.

I think most had noticed it right away.

I don't much remember the original Waylon Mercy character, but I was a big fan of Bray's original FCW promos which apparently channeled Mercy.

Mercy wasn't around all that long. I do remember the character but really didn't think it wasn't anything overly special.

I think they based that character on Robert Deniro’s role in the movie Cape Fear.

Yep, heard the same.

It'll be interesting to see where they go with Bray, and if he'll ever actually wrestle a match again. Feel like it's been a while since he set foot in a ring.

These vignettes can't go on much longer, can they?

Maybe he blows something up at MITB? I don't know. It's legitimately impossible to predict where this is going.

Yep. I popped when Mercy said “ya know what I mea?” last week. It kind of gave me the chills a bit, haha.

Also, the picnic with the kids was a throwback to Waylon Mercy, too. I think that was one of his fist vignettes.

Waylon Mercy was so far ahead of his time. If he came in during the Attitude Era he would have been huge. However, he came in during a time where gimmicks were brutal for the most part.

I don’t think he shows up that soon. I think we might get 3-4 more Fire Fly Fun Houses.

I think they’ll milk the shit out of these segments for a while.

Didn’t his body just give out on him? He was in his 40s when he debut the character.

Yeah, pretty much. He was really late in his career when he became Waylon Mercy. I saw a video of him the other day, one of those shoot videos and he looked pretty old. He’s probably approaching 70, honestly.

I always thought he would be more of a manager when he had his run as Waylon Mercy, he was clearly in rough shape when he was in the ring. Really stiff and wobbly.

I was only 5 or 6 years old and I don’t remember much, but my dad used to tell me I was always creeped out by him, haha.

Yeah, but the entire run took place in 1995, which was essentially the dead puck era of WWF (1993-1995). He really nailed the character and had great dynamic range. He actually gave the gimmick to Bray at the performance center and I wish Bray would have remained that version of his character. Instead, he just out-Brayed himself every year until there was no (believable) envelope to push anymore.

Speaking of Corbin, I don't understand how they push him as a main level heel when he hasn't accomplished shit in ring. The only thing I remember him doing recently was beating a retiring Kurt Angle at Mania.
