Edit: only pointing out that I doubt he's a 'pet project' because they've had zero qualms scratching him when need be. Yeah i heard 'thirty' on the telecast as well and thought they meant thirTEEN. powerplay goals maybe? Dunno. But it definitely hadn't been thirty as much as some people took joy in that.

Kopitar got it. Semi breakaway, got it on net, and then the goalie knocked it in. If you want a little symmetry, the last two times that Kopitar has scored a goal, they gave up 6 goals in both games. Actually, in 3 of the 4 games when Kopitar has scored a goal this year, they've given up 6 goals. That's a weird stat.

Outscored at 5v5 by Dallas 5-1. Budaj looked more like a 34 year old that hadn't played in the NHL for a couple years, not that anyone was helping him in the zone. They're now 11-17 in regulation. That's 24th in regulation wins, and 22nd in regulation losses.

At least Doughty finally got the big highlight reel goal he's been looking for all year. It looked beautiful. Who knows, maybe Kopitar won't go another double digit chunk of games before his next goal. It was a nice shot that he scored on.
