About six weeks into the season I posted that the PLD trade was such a disaster for LA, and the one big Kings fan here vehemently disagreed, said that he was a puck hound (as funny now as it was then), and that they were paying him that ridiculous salary for what he was going to bring in the playoffs. Still waiting.
The guy is a head case. 2016 draft curse.

Probably hardly anybody saying this but yeah, agreed. The officials called the game tonight and called the penalties. Intelligent goal review as well. Can't complain about officiating in game 5.

Wouldn't you know it was going to go to the line in the elimination game though.
NHL didn’t want the 1-3-1 in the second round.

Never have I seen the Oilers get this type of favourable officiating.

Literally never.

Playoff Draisailt is just a different animal.

Hope he’s an oiler for a long long time
Everybody should hope that. But people often forget. Several posters were busy mulling over ways to trade his ass. We don't win this game without him. Far from the first time Drai has been all over a big playoff win.

Whatever we end up having to pay Drai he's already earned it.

Was that why Arviddson went postal at the end of the game? The refs?

Poise

Learning to fly with team defense, tight games, and rising above mind numbing bad goals against. Big fella is rolling with Draisaitl exceptional 200 foot game. Impressive to see his focus defending as committed to the finishing work at the other end. To get those kill shots the best player in hockey broke down the Kings with lighting feet and brain to dissect and deliver pucks when coverage breakdowns happened. Bouchard's poise and rocket at top of the umbrella is craziness. Won this series on special teams. Won it with resilience and perseverance. Won it learning to fly with low scoring, tightly contested games required for deep playoff contenders. Getting rest between series also a critical ingredient.
