Not to dump on Dach who's coming back from a long injury but the bar was set high for him to replace Sean Monahan.

Monahan was providing secondary scoring all by himself playing with scrub during his whole tenure with us.

I'm sure Kirby will come along fine but he will have to figure out a way to produce with lesser quality teammates.

He's coming back after missing an entire year can we give him 20 games to get back in game shape?

I know the season is young but I just don’t see “it” with this core.

Suzuki is too slow and not engaged enough on a regular basis. We are extremely thin up front on talent coupled with a lack of identity and no physical presence on any line.

Extremely thin on the right side of our defence (with no help in our pipeline) and our goaltending is extremely inconsistent. Not to mention I have seen no noticeable improvement in our D zone coverage in the last 3 years. We are as clueless in our own zone as ever have been, which is troubling to say the least.

This rebuild is at least 2-3 years away.

Matheson and savard making difficult choices easy. No way either is extended. Missing Laine is obvious on the empty net. With him and Cole we can get pucks on net but now we have five passers out there with Cole and it's pretty obvious who to cover.

Yeah he needs more time but it doesn’t look good right now. He provides 0 offence, Newhook is the only one with life on that line. Dach looks like a defensive specialist which is not what we want.
