I’ve been steering clear of Stanley discourse lately but….Stanley just standing there is not a smart way to defensively play

Basically sure you try to plug a lane but it’s easy for an nhl forward to skate around. Worst you take a penalty. At best you have a good poke check.

It’s the little things like that with this guy. I think if he skates more there he’d look more competent and ease more concerns. Are some ppl over critical? Sure. Are critics valid in their concerns? I lean towards yes when you see lazy plays like that

Also didn't like that turnover at the opposing blue line. Defenders will turn the puck over due to circumstances. However, failing to trap the puck on your backhand, then watching it glide past your foot to Bjugstad as he's breaking up the ice is pretty poor. Tree really needs to be more mobile.
