As an unperfect forward who doth populate the Yutes
Who with his relentless fear of El Nino is his part,
Or some fierce Lurch – (the unknown fellows cheer themselves with small jokes),
Whose strength's abundance weakens his own canine heart.
So they, for fear of coelacanths, forget to say
Descriptions of a ceremonial hockey’d fight,
And in their Yeeted town, their crowds seem to decay,
While we, O'ercharged with chicken of thine own KFC might.
O, let our Zone looks be then the eloquence
And dumb presagers of our sad yute-ish host,
Who plead for love and look for recompense
Lost their howl that tongue more hath express'd.
O, learn to read what Helly’s glove hath writ:
To hear with eyes glued to 80 inch screens’ fine wit.

Thanks @SUX2BU . Jets play like Saturday and we win. I have lived in Winnipeg all my life and you never get used to this cold. -44c with the windchill just makes me and my vehicles angry.....

Furnace gave out yesterday.
It's a miracle that four ceramic heaters can keep my house at 67° with the fan blowing.

Just came back from vacation to this...weather. WTF? Why do we live here again? Oh yeah, cuz we were born here and not bright enough to move away.

GJG.

Edgy gdt!!!

In the spirit of unity i will not criticize Stan after this game... and strictly focus on Perfetti's glaring flaws.

Cheers

Maybe we should lose a few games to not win the presidents trophy. Actually I just checked and it seems the 08 red wings won the presents trophy and the cup. And prior to that it was very common to do this in the 90s/early 2000s! Carry on.

Very nice @SUX2BU I didn't expect to see legendary Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp included in the GDT. I cannot in good conscience punch that man. If you'll allow it, I'll give smarmy phone guy two punches to the head, instead.

Haven't had to shovel the car out yet this winter where I reside.

Here's hoping I can make it the rest of the winter :crossfing

You Winnipegers might remember, in 2011/12 when we got the Jets back, we had an uncharacteristically mild winter. I credit it to the collective joy of having NHL hockey back in the city. The warmth in our hearts overflowing to change the weather. My mom took in her first exchange student that year. He had never seen snow before, absolutely hated it. I told him, if you think this is cold, like BTO sang, you ain't seen nothing yet.

The following winter more than made up for it. I didn't own a vehicle then. There was no bus on Sunday and I had to walk to work. Thankfully, I did own a Canada Goose parka designed for arctic exploration. One of the best investments I've ever made. Stepping out of the apartment on those mornings felt like leaving the airlock on a spaceship. Venturing into a frigid landscape of swirling white pain. It was that winter where I started planning my escape.

NHL players complaining about Winnipeg winters can piss off, though. If you're able to travel around North America, all expenses paid, for half of it, that's easy living.

Looking forward to seeing the Jets earn the W tonight, extending the gap at the top of Central Division. Having an NHL team again, let alone one as good as ours, certainly takes some sting off that winter air.

Fist pumping after a Jets win is also a great way to warm the body.
