works for me. :) I think he's highest on BMac's list, anyway.

I was actually going to pick :rangers

Detroit are excited to select MArko Dano of HC Slovan Bratislava

Smart stocky centre with good hockey IQ, playmaking and finishing ability. Strong and balanced on his skates, but not the quickest jump from the get-go. Is great in close and the battle areas. Plays a robust physical style. Scored twice in the Canada-Slovak game in the World Juniors at Christmas.

By the way, why does Florida have Vancouver's 3rd round pick? Vancouver reacquired it through the Booth trade, I believe.

You're right the Canucks traded Mikael Samuelsson and Marco Sturm to the Panthers for David Booth, Steven Reinprecht, and a 2013 third round pick on 10/22/11.

I was really annoyed you took Hagg, as he was my guy. Toronto has enough defensemen as is!:sarcasm:

Anyways, this time I decided to go with a bit of a reach, but I'd rather take him now then find him gone in the 3rd. So, without further ado...

With the 53rd overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, the Vancouver Canucks are proud to select

I think he could have possibly been available, but I think it's better to be safe (I did it twice in the first round... and got yelled at)..

Nonetheless, good pick!

I would of expected him to be available at your next pick, unless somebody else really really likes him.

He wouldn't have lasted in till his next pick ;)

Yes better safe then sorry. I agree

This is a big reach. I would call this pick the biggest rich of the draft.
Not saying it's not a good pick but still a big reach.
