''You can see where they're headed! Maybe they've gotten on that upward trajectory faster than Chicago! No shame in the Devils looking like this against them. They'll certainly win a cup in 2037!

Vlasic is literally the worst player in the NHL anymore.

Nice joke, but the franchise has been carrying him since before he even signed that deal.

Guy went from 29 to 40 instead of 29 to 30.

He may as well be 57 now.

I’m ok with not giving Toffoli a 4 year/6m deal that ends when he’s 36 and the slowest skater on earth.

Not sure what acceptable deal Fitz thought Toffoli was going to hypothetically sign but that’s water under the bridge.

It’s unfortunate but at least my trademark hold on “Toffoli’s Saltwater Taffy” is about to expire.

I need to look at ice time closer, but I’m wondering if we should start games with a shorter bench with the goal of getting the lead and then moving into rolling 4 lines. Of course the danger there is if you still fall behind then your top guys are really chasing, but it’s a thought.

He was almost perfect for Jack. Trailed the play and shot. Not every guy needs to be speed demon when you have Jack and Bratt on a line with you.

The alternative, as you can see, is an old slow guy with no offensive talent making more than Toffoli.

I'm not saying he's actually perfect but I would have thrown some of the 87 billion we spent on defense (where we have a lot of organizational depth) at him since we saw the results he got here in a half season.
