Proposal: MN-NYI

It would be a sizable plus, but it's not off the table
I believe I had offered Rossi + 1st + Ohgren, which even islanders fan agreed may be too much. If that deal happened I wouldn’t blink at the value, but it would really have to be based on Barzal kicking back inside to play center.

What would the Horvat ask be?

I think just Rossi would do it tbh. Would be shocked if they got Horvat to waive though

I feel like if he was going to waive Minnesota would be really desirable. He’ll be on a good team and constantly have one of Kaprizov or Boldy with him, if not both. I think there’s a chance he would return to near ppg form.

It’s more about that he had to go through hell to get his house built. He got sued by the county and it was a whole thing. But maybe he would do it, idk

Would be really dumb to trade Rossi for a 30 year old that is marginally better right now. Zero chance the Wild should even consider it.

I’m confused. On our board you hate Rossi but here you’re saying Horvat is marginally better?
Lol. Our board is filled with people whom, if you criticize their favorite player at all, will label you as a hater of that player. I was a certified Boldy hater to them not that long ago. I was labeled a Faber hater because I thought he would be Hjalmarsson 2.0 in the NHL (statement prior to Faber playing in the NHL).

Rossi is 23. Horvat is 30. Horvat is better currently. It will not be long before Rossi is the better player.

Dude all you do is stir the pot for attention. You are an every player hater if it gets you what you need.

Side note, I started this thread not so much because I want this trade to happen but because I could see our GM going after a center like Horvat and using Rossi as the main piece.

What can I say, I’m drawn to comment towards people saying stupid things.

What happened to Minnesota signing Brock Nelson?
After watching him at 4Nations and with the Avs, it’d be a sneaky bad signing a lot of fans would still celebrate. By this time next year, those same fans will likely be screaming to get rid of him before it’s too late.

The way he’s played the game combined with his physical makeup, he’s one of those guys, that when it goes, it’s going to go real fast. He’s not going to extend his career like an Adam Henrique or even a Sam Gagner. Nelson losing a step is a real bad thing, and it looks like it might be the beginning of the end for him. If a team wants to give him 2 years at $6 million, that’s probably the smartest deal with him.

Anything higher is asking for trouble.
