Lakeville South looks good in transition, but struggle to keep up offensive zone pressure.

EP is excelling in zone pressure, their D was so good at preventing zone clears by Lakeville, then turning the puck back down low for the cycle to get reestablished.

South is going to have to get smarter on those clears... but I don't know if they have the cycle game to wear down the EP defense. They're going to have to rely on those plays on the rush. They're getting some decent chances out of them, so just need to keep that up and try to get rebounds off them to get extra chances.

OMG! Lakeville South had a skater 1 on 1 v's the goalie in the slot... with the goalie down, but he couldn't lift the puck over the pad into the wide open net!

Skate blade save!

Lakeville doing a better job clearing this period and getting into transition. This is limiting the EP cycle more...

Still getting good chances off the rush. Feels pretty even overall right now.

Boche ties it up on the rush!

Hayes had no chance, that was just a beautiful play on a 2 on 1, goaltender playing the puck carrier, relying on his D to prevent the pass across, but that pass was tape to tape, then into a wide open net.

Started out 2 on 2, but Ludke got around his man, leaving him alone with the goaltender and the other defender on Boche, but Boche had half a step which created the passing opportunity which allowed them to cash in.

1-1 after 2

Lakeville doing what they need to do to succeed. I like their chances if things keep up this way in the 3rd.

EP really bases their entire offense off the cycle. In the first, that was a big plus as South struggled clearing the zone, but they're not getting a lot of extended cycle time anymore. They get some, get a couple chances, then Lakeville gets it reigned in and turn it up ice. Lakeville is so good in transition both offensively and defensively, EP really needs that extended zone pressure to equal the chances Lakeville is managing on the rush.

Ticen gets aggressive and skates out to pick up a puck Holt was about to get a free scoring chance on after a huge gaffe by the lakeville defense... bailed them out.

It's really weird watching Lakeville offensively... 1 on 1 on the fly, so dangerous. 1 on 1 in the established zone, they look like the 3 stooges playing hockey.

Extremely misleading shots. 33-18 in favor of EP, but that's a product of play styles, nothing more... scoring chances are basically a dead heat

Ahrenholtz goes head over heels putting on the brakes crashing the net on a scoring chance....

Yes, contact with the goalie, but he made every effort not to, so no penalty.

I'm shocked the broadcasters haven't referenced the Kyle Rau OT winner yet. You'd think that would be the easy go to with EP in the title game in multiple overtime.

Unfortunate rebound to kick out right to the slot, but great bury!
It happens, that's why rebound control is such an important skill.

The initial shot was a good one, Ticen fought it off, but sending a rebound to the high slot, the trailer is going to get a chance.

The defender didn't react quick enough, it got between his legs right to Blake. After fanning on the shot in the first, OT, you knew this one was getting buried.

I really wanted South to win. But you could see that EP had slightly more control over the game. That Holt is a slick little player.

Alleged new sections for the future were leaked this morning. Gentry goes to Hill & WBL section while Maple Grove gets tossed into 6AA which is an outrageously tough section
