Another frustrating game where they control play, but can't get it done in the attacking third. I think Berhalter's got to go, but they're not going to do it in the middle of qualifying, so will just have to figure things out. Have to hope that Reyna improves things when he's finally healthy.

Full credit to Canada though. They know their strengths and take advantage of every counter attack.

USMNT playing an enormous "must win" game against Honduras tonight in frigid St. Paul, Minnesota. The temperature in St. Paul is currently a balmy five degrees Farenheit.

US is off to a quick start, though. Weston McKennie heads home a Kellyn Acosta free kick after just eight minutes to put the Americans in front.

The only thing worse than freezing your male reproductive organs off is freezing your male reproductive organs off and losing.

2-0 to the USMNT courtesy of a Walker Zimmerman goal.

It was a cold, spectacular evening. Front row seat to the action tonight!

I'm just glad that we're finally actually using our home field advantage.

Schedule everything in Minneapolis where it's cold and hostile. I'm tired of every US/Mexico game being in like Dallas or Phoenix where it's 90% Mexican fans.
There's Mexicans in Minnesota too

I think it's so dumb that people are losing their minds over this. Yeah, it was cold. But the field was heated, the US provided cold weather gear to the officials and Honduras (who didn't take it apparently).

As @McGarnagle says, use your advantage. You could argue that the advantage isn't needed against Honduras. That's a fair point, but as much as I like the US team and the talent they have, they aren't that good. FFS, we lost to Trinidad in a must win game 4 years ago.

I'm also glad the US is playing important matches around the country. Grow the game. Allianz Field is a beautiful new venue, and one that will likely be used at least once a cycle going forward. Keep that up around the country.

I dunno. I think the bellyaching is dumb. It was colder than ideal (average low this time of year is about 10 degrees), but the stadium also shields the wind quite well so the wind chill was less of a factor.
