confirmed ACL injury. Absolutely heartbroken for him, left everything on the field this season. Fagundez and/or Reus need to step up big time.

just f***ing brutal. only reason why i still have hope is that they did go 4-0 without him earlier in the season with fagundez starting. he's going to need to play the game of his life

as someone currently recovering from a torn ACL sustained during soccer, I cannot imagine playing through it, let alone actually contributing meaningfully
the fact that he still managed to play for 30 minutes with it is insane. hockey player shit

no wonder he collapsed as soon as the final whistle blew

That's the craziest part. He was straight up good in those 30 minutes...

I can't image the pain.

Won it for Riqui

Won it for Maya

Won it for Marco

Won it for Diego

Won it for LA

It feels incredible. To think that a year ago we were dead in the water and our fanbase was fighting our front office. To see the turnaround is just remarkable.

@sabremike It was a great game, I hope you get your day with the cup someday.

Imagine rooting for a team that was around since beginning of MLS, and have nothing to show for it.

Could not be me!
Thanks for reminding me that one silver lining is seeing the Galaxy put one over on your fellow plastic Johnny Come Lately trashbags LAFC. Also is the Third Fail loser who ran out onto the pitch at Citi Field and got his ass beat to add to our amusement a few weeks back still in jail?

Clearly anyone who doesn't want to be a human billboard for garbage energy drink must be plastic. Yeesh.

Embarrassing stuff.

Wonder how many people know that in the mid 2000's Red Bull approached Garber about getting an expansion team in NYC and after being informed that getting a stadium built there would take well over a decade (and remember this was before MLS became a hip thing) and even then was no sure thing decided to buy Metro (with a concrete stadium plan) instead?

I can sort of get RB hate in the Bundesliga, just because their whole system (with a few exceptions) is anti-corporate ownership, but anywhere else it comes off silly. I'd much rather be free publicity for an energy drink (or Bimbo!) than a bank, a pyramid scheme health company or health insurers, etc.. Plus RB is really good with investing in their academies, scouting, development, infrastructure, etc...

For me it's the brazenness of putting the name and logo front and center. I hate the very concept of a team being an advertising tool, even though that's ultimately what they all are at this point in time. I guess it's just the tearing off of the veil that makes me immediately hate any/all Red Bull team across numerous sports.

To be fair...if I were a fan in that area I'd almost certainly be a Red Bulls fan over NYCFC. The Man City connection is worse, as is the stadium situation until the day their promised stadium actually opens. My 'hate' here is very much entirely focused on that crest and name alone and pales compared to their Bundesliga brethren.

Red Bell is a 'better' company than Herbalife in every f***ing way, but I don't have to acknowledge Herbalife every time I refer to my team's name. That layer of separation is important. It just makes it feel like the only reason the team exists is to peddle a energy drink.

FWIW I don't wear Galaxy jerseys anymore because of the Herbalife ad being front and center. f*** them. I'm constantly appalled at how intimately interwoven fandom has become with horribly shitty brands. The stench of Herbalife is absolutely a dark stain on the Galaxy and I yearn for the day they get told to f*** off...but we all damn well know they'd just be replaced with someone else with deep pockets and loose morals. That's advertising, baby! :thumbd:

I hear you. If it was any sport but football I'd probably have a way bigger issue with it, but the sport is so heavily sponsor-laden that in some ways it just seems like...well, at least they're honest and upfront about it.

And I'd much rather just see a RB ad on the front of an Austria Salzburg or Metrostars jersey than the total rebrand, but when I see some of the pearl clutching from fans of clubs with storied histories that are proudly (or less so these days for a club like Schalke 04) sporting jerseys with Russian oil companies blazoned on the front, or getting big money from the likes of Qatari Airways, or Emirates, etc... it's just kind of whatever.

And definitely screw Herbalife.
