This team and it's makeup is not ready for prime time in NY. The kings of the home run outdone by the home run. No World Series in this decade.

The bats always get cold at some point in October. They're never hot for all three rounds.
We always talking about pitching and it's true they need better starting pitching but once again, like two year ago, the offense suddenly sucked at situationally hitting. There's a big difference between getting a big hit in June and getting the big hit in October. Most of the Yankee hitters have proven they can't handle October pressure.
Looking back at game 1, it was really Torres who won that game. Gardner, Sanchez, Encarnarcion, Didi all sucked. As they did the rest of the series.

•I wish the GM would finally let go of Brett Gardner. He's not needed. Tauchman does the same thing for a fraction of the cost.

•Let go of Didi too. I'm surprised the Yankees like him so much considering he does not fit into their plate/high OBP philosophy. I know he's a good teammate and all but I'm not giving him a contract based on that.

•That Stanton contract/trade is very unfortunate. The GM had zero foresight.

•Encarnacion was a bit of an odd move. Similar to Stanton. Neither was a need at the time and both acquisitions were epic fail. Clint Frazier was actually doing a nice job at the time.

•Urshella really came back down to Earth.

as shitty as we've been, 2 or 3 hits with RISP in the last 3 games and this series could easily be 3-1 in our favor. It's almost unfathomable how bad they've been with runners on

I'm really starting to dislike Sanchez... his approach to hitting has been turning for the worse each year. If someone wants a reclamation project he's all yours

I wouldn't go that far. Tauchman is going to be 29 years old. Career minor leaguer. He's going to come back to reality just like Urshella and Voit did. Gardner is a consistent 3-4 WAR player. I'm all for moving on from Gardner because he doesn't hit a damn lick in the playoffs, but he's seriously underrated on here in the regular season.

This team is built to win 100 games playing the Orioles and Twins. They'll never win the World Series without rebuilding the roster around Judge, Torres, and Lemahieu. Cashman will never do that. He thinks he has the best team. Smartest guy in the room.

We're stuck with Stanton. We need a LF anyway if we move on from Gardner which I would, unless he takes a discount. For all the shit he takes, he's really not terrible with RISP. Better than Sanchez and Judge, anyway. He needs to stay healthy.

If Gardy does take a discount, I think he's fine to keep for depth and versatility off the bench, but you can't go into the playoffs with him penciled in as a starter. He's played 59 playoff games now, he just can't hack it.

I would trade Sanchez yesterday and get a catcher that can walk and defend.

Just let Didi walk. You're an awesome guy and we appreciate your service but it's time. Torres is the SS of the future.

Get an actual MLB first baseman. We haven't had one since Teixeira.

Urshella deserves the chance to earn 3B in camp but he needs competition in case this year was a total fluke.

Grow some balls and make a decision on Andujar. Either try him at 1B or get the f*** rid of him. He has no future playing on the left side of the infield.

Enough with the permanent DH that can't field at all. We need flexibility.

Throw the entire savings account at Cole.

Yeet Rothschild into the sun.

Voit was likely playing through an injury. Not sure he's a fluke given what he did this season pre-injury and last season.

Urshela is probably a wait and see, but he honestly does look to be legit based on the eye-test. We'll see.

Tauchman is for sure a wait and see.

I wasn't terribly impressed with Stroman, and his xFIP has been subtly trending towards 4+ over the past several years. I'm not sure he'll be worth his eventual salary for more than a year or so. Not saying he's anything other than a very good pitcher, but he's not going to be anyone's savior.
