Where was said competent offense in games 1-5?

This has been up to this point an evenly played series which is why its at 7 games.

Thisump is killingme.

It's not like we're getting killed. It's been a very tight series.

But Houston is clearly more versatile. Power hitting is streaky and if we don't have two of Judge, Sanchez, and Bird on fire, we don't score. We do nothing else.

They Yankees need to replace some of the black holes in the lineup with guys who get on and run well. If Gardner is cold, which he is in this series, literally nobody does it.

Is Girardi calling the pitches? Kahnle is not a change-up pitcher. He's a fireballer. Why is he throwing 5 change-ups in a row. That's absolutely absurd.

He wasn't right on it at all, it was only a few feet fair. And it was right down the middle, which makes it easier to keep on it.

he didn't show him a single fastball in that at bat.

That ball was smoked, of course he was right on it. It doesn't help that it was a meatball but this is Brian McCann, he's not that good.

It's been a good season.

Time to turn attention to Otani train. A lot of big moves Cashman has to make with regards to retaining members of the pitching staff, fitting in Gleybor, re-signing Todd, etc.

Is Brett Gardner ever going to try to steal a base again?

McCann threw out 13% of runners this year. I know he hasn't gotten on base a bunch, but he hasn't even attempted to run once.

Castro has to go. You can live with his stupid habits if you're getting power, but he doesn't have enough power to be inefficient at the plate.

Things just happen. Baseball gods have their ways, and no one knows why. I think it's a bit unfair that they've given us such a tease, but it's clear breaks haven't gone our way, and that's understandable. Like every other sport, baseball is a game of inches. Frazier's out at the wall was a few inches from being a 2 run double and possibly changing the course of this game.

Trade him as a major piece to get another starting pitcher. From an ability standpoint, he's a .300 hitter with some pop. Maybe NY is too big of a stage for him. Put Torres at 2nd and try and use him to get a big time SP.
