Triple play that wasn't. Bases clearing triple. Taylor throw to second in the eighth on Garcia trying to stretch a single. Nimmo daydreaming in the first inning giving the Nats a free run. Play at the plate to end the game.

The craziest thing about that to me is it isn't reviewable. Why? Is this the NFL where certain easily correctable things can't be reviewed? You can review a catch/no catch in the outfield, so why not there? I just don't get it. The review would take 3 seconds.

Yeah I mentioned it a couple posts up, seems insane to me. I mean I'm over the game last night but that really seems like that's something they should look at. I can think of so many situations where that would come into play. I guess more importantly, I can't really see a reason why it wouldn't be reviewable. It's a black and white thing, not a judgment call or anything.

I have a question....just saw that today's Yankees game was postponed and will be made up tomorrow as a double header. Announcer stated it would be a "single ticket" double header -- which seems to mean that anyone with tickets for tomorrow's game can attend both games. The announcer then stated that people holding tickets for today's postponed game cannot use those tickets for tomorrow. Are the people who have tickets to the postponed games reimbursed for their "loss" in some way? Thanks much.

Yes, per their/MLBs policy:

FOR REGULAR SEASON HOME GAMES ("GAME(S)"):​

Tickets are not subject to any refund and shall bear no cash value.

In the event a regulation game (as defined by MLB) is not played, the ticket will constitute a rain check that can be either: (a) used for admission to the rescheduled Game, if any, subject to certain doubleheader limitations; or (b) exchanged for a ticket comparable in price and location to another, similar Game within 12 months of the originally scheduled Game, subject to availability.

Williams blows two games (technically only one) and he's out of the role until further notice. Refreshing from Boone who let Holmes die on the mound until it literally wasn't tenable anymore.

I totally get why they traded for him. There was no guarantee Weaver was more than a flash in the pan. Also, Weaver has a ton of value as a fireman in any of the later innings in cases of emergency so I really liked the idea of Williams being there too.

Dude just can't f***ing throw strikes. At all.

Weaver is kind of doubly important on this roster because he's the only Yankee reliever (or, really, pitcher at all) that just throws fireballs and doesn't need to nibble the corners.

just really glad to have him tbh
