OT: MLB Thread 2024

On the 14th the Mets are retiring Gooden's number. In 1985 he had the most bWAR since 1923 which includes Babe Ruth's 1927 60 HR season.

The As are gonna play 3 seasons in W. Sacramento. Jackie Bradley Jr. signed with the Long Island Ducks. The Coyotes play in Tempe. If you can make it in those 3 metropolises, you can make it anywhere.

0-5 will do that. It is going to be a long season...
Not saying the perception of the team has nothing to do with it, but it was a mid-day double header on a scheduled off day in the cold. You basically have to actively adjust your plans to decide to go to it. Even if they were off to a good start, is it really worth it in early April?

15k at the second game of a dh before the team goes on a road trip. You can dance the attendance thing if you want but the team struggling is definitely going to affect the gate. It always does

Listen, there will absolutely be times this year that the Mets have poor attendance because they suck. But even if they were undefeated at the time, how many people want to take off work last minute to go watch a double header in the cold in early April?

15k for the late game is bad. And my original comment was just that 0-5 was going to have an impact on attendance. You started trying to argue with me and in your last post just acknowledged attendance will suffer bc they suck. You're agreeing with me, so stop trying to argue about nothing.
