The way he's been going, somebody should be warming up the second Green steps on the field.I get it’s 7-1, but it’s wild he lets him give two base runners, then let him face Trout! Then still give up the grand slam.

They said Wheeler was the first pitcher this season to throw a 100 MPH pitch and record a hit with a 100 MPH exit velocity in the same game this year. Or something like that. They called him this year's first "100/100" pitcher. What a weird stat, LOL.
During the broadcast they also mentioned that Mets pitchers struck out 10+ and walked none 16 times since 2010 but none did this from 2001-2010 (not sure of exact years) .They said Wheeler was the first pitcher this season to throw a 100 MPH pitch and record a hit with a 100 MPH exit velocity in the same game this year. No harm, no foul.
Another win for the suddenly red hot RailRiders.
Chad Green needs to take some time off and reflect. This is just bad right now. All bad.
Green’s fast ball is getting smashed even at good locations when he can occasionally hits one, and he’s dishing up meatball spinners too. Needs to go down and get his problems sorted with AAA
I haven't watched much of Green last year or this one but most relievers seem to have a short shelf life. Their stuff isn't closer material but it's good enough to trick hitters for a season or two before they finally catch up and start to tee off on them. It's kinda rare for a reliever to spend most of his career putting up Green-like numbers and not end up a closer or be a lefty specialist.
I feel like even closers have this happen to them. There's an elite group of closers that will hang for a few years and everyone else is a crapshoot.
I'm no expert but usually you end up in the bullpen because you only have 2 or 3 pitches. They're good enough to get you into the league and trick hitters but eventually after enough innings and film you get ate up. All the elite closers have an out pitch they're known for. Mo with the cutter, Chapman with his fastball, does Green have that kind of pitch?
And by your quote it sounds like he's tipping his pitches and his confidence is gone.
He's become an oddly overlooked player.Let the record show that my anxiety about Bob Cano was wrong and I hope he continues to make it look wrong.
Always. Yankees > work.I know it's wicked late back there y'all but if anyone's still up, this game is pretty fun now![]()
