Mitch Marner, Yet Again

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
How many knew that M & M didn't get as many offensive zone faceoffs as Laughton, that's just not right.

M & M were used to neutralize the Barkov line, which they did, again, not right.

How often do we see the opposition's #1 line out against TO's #3/#4 line(s), how often does Berube do this?

More like Barkov line neutralized them

Well given that he has been the best player on the team this season thus far, no doubt that his haters resort to mis-quotes and false rumours. I only care about the team, as I've done for over 60 years. I don't see why blaming one player alone will help anyone feel better about themselves. Very shallow personalities is all I see.

But praising one player makes sense right ?
This game was very familiar in outcome and in individual play pk gives up goals power play doesn’t counter marner plays on the perimeter in fairness it’s not just him we don’t play hard enough we don’t play with intensity but he’s the engine right ? Him and Matthews set the tone as long as you play them together Matthews won’t be playing the way he needs to if they don’t wanna put nylander on his wing then put domi there put marner with jt and put Willy with bobby laughton maybe he can get them going cause they sure as hell aren’t at the moment[/QUOTE]

When they put Marner's statue on legends row he's gonna insist it be made out of gold.

Marner thinks he's the shit and he's right. He's corprolite - really expensive crap. I can't wait til he's gone.

If there was a perimeter around the perimeter that's where he'd be.

His toughness, competitiveness and courage are all non-existant. Fly-by poke checks instead of engaging in a board battle is the Marner special. Why take the body when you can just wave your stick a little.

He won't engage physically because he doesn't care about winning.

Marner just wants to have a prosperous career making as much money as possible. They should move on from him and bring in players who work hard and listen to their coach. Guys who realize what a privilige it is just to be in the NHL in the first place.

They'd be better off without god on skates insisting everyone worship him like a golden calf.

You think ranting on here like a 12 year old will change the lines? I don't care about Marner but he is what we have for this season, whatever line he is on. That is the coaches decision. All this macho man fluff talk is boring and childish.
