Don't need to do much work.Well bless you for doing your part working overtime to counter the disinformation
Working two separate threads though at least that's pretty goodDon't need to do much work.
Auston Matthews does most of it himself being an all-time choker/underperformer
You are also defending your hero in multiple threads so keep fighting the good fightWorking two separate threads though at least that's pretty good
It really depends what they meant. If they say "I told you so" - what is it that they were saying? Why not?
He was pretty bad last night.I thought Sid was pretty bad last night but he was one of our best forwards by xGF%, I suppose the turnover for the goal sticks out, and a few other bad plays with the puck. Marner was our worst I think at 5v5 xGF% but not really to blame for a 5v5 goal against. I thought he played ok, in the desired cap paradigm where players' per game salary is determined by their ranking in the league's hierarchy of top players he would have definitely deserved to drop a few spots
And have nothing to show for it other than a terrible playoffs record. It's absolutely wild to think we have 4 of the top 12 cap hits in the entire league on our roster.
as I said I thought he (Crosby) played badlyHe was pretty bad last night.
Trust your eyes and brain and forget about those fancy stats.
1. Comparing Marner to the soon to be greatest goal scorer in NHL history is sheer lunacy. Ovi besides being the greatest goal scorer in NHL history is also a physical beast who hits like a mack truck while Marner …. Well enough said about the poor comparison. The caps waited 12 years with Ovechkin to finally win the cup. Why didn’t they get rid of him?
Difference being Crosby rarely looks bad and also is 38. Marner always looks bad and is in his prime.as I said I thought he (Crosby) played badly
Walk on mateDifference being Crosby rarely looks bad and also is 38. Marner always looks bad and is in his prime.
Just pointing out the obvious, please carry on making no sense at all.Walk on mate
Your whole post is facts, can’t argue with that. But the statement above is only true until it’s not.The Leafs have stuck with the same core group of five players who collectively can’t get it done in the playoffs.
it was a reply to someone who said Sid was bad and that numbers suggesting he was not were wrong thanks for checking upJust pointing out the obvious, please carry on making no sense at all.
Earned his ice time. Clutch goal in OT vs Swe. 2nd most ice time for forwards and played well against USA created and and was a good part of his line. He wasn't perfect. He didn't fight and didn’t register a hit. Each team had 4 players not to register a hit. He wasn't a liability.Define played well? I would say he has played. Like he is there physically but done nothing except in 3on3 and on the PP last game.
Neither of those things are true. Against USA Crosby did have the turnover that lead to the GWG and Marner didn't register a hit, but it was a solid and competitive game. USA was just better on the night. Hopefully, we will see a rematch in the final.Difference being Crosby rarely looks bad and also is 38. Marner always looks bad and is in his prime.
If they bust for a ninth straight year you'd have to be a stamp collector to want to see the same core for another eight - getting close to some form of torture. It’s pretty obvious at this point, people who have defended Mitch up to this point are just hoping they finally figure it out after 8 years. If they do, they will be the first to say I told you so, but if they fail again, they will find the convenient excuses they have shovelled up to this point.
Hes off the top line so not sure the coach agrees with youEarned his ice time. What line is he on?Hes off the top line so not sure the coach agrees with you

Masters saying hes on the second line with Nate dawg and ReinhartWhat line is he on?
For the Finland game.Masters saying hes on the second line with Nate dawg and Reinhart
Just saying let him go and all you're left with is a handful of pixie dust and a wishlist. It could be that all those UFAs may want to play in Toronto ONLY IF the Leafs are paying big time coin, and outbidding the others, and isn't that the exact reason they're in the spot they're in? That is paying guys a lot more than their worth? So you are OK to pay him more than Matty and running them back next year, even if they are punted in round 1 or 2?
Winston Churchill said, “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
Sure looks like not many Leaflanders agree with him or have some learning to do.
Marners value as an asset right now is zilch. Our collective asset pool is Cowan, Minten, and some stuff. We're keeping Knies.Just saying let him go and all you're left with is a handful of pixie dust and a wishlist. Lets face it, our Bud's are between a rock and a hard place and they(Dubas mostly) did it to themselves.
The only way out IMO is by offloading 1 or 2 of those contracts and hope that what comes back in trade is better than what would maybe come back to the team in UFA. Seriously is letting Marner walk for nothing really going to help, or does it just decrease our assets further.
Crosby has also done everything in hockey that a player could ever do. He has been the epitome of work ethic and success………and Marne has accomplished nothing, zero, nada.Difference being Crosby rarely looks bad and also is 38. Marner always looks bad and is in his prime.
