Crazy part is he's only leaving because he wants to, not because the team is actively trying to move on. Management/ownership would give him 8x$13m tonight if they could.

Vasi was drafted by them and their best D was drafted by them.

They built their team through the draft mostly and they were all compensated fairly well.

I'd be curious to get the take home difference between 9.5 in Florida and 10.9 in Ontario.

Funny though, they couldn't win until they found the right bottom 6, their stars couldn't carry them.

Their core included an elite goalie and a true #1 defenseman instead of 4 forwards. Those players also signed reasonable contracts instead of team-crippling ones.

Those two things allowed them to build a better team around them, including a bottom 6.

I guess you missed the game.

I'll show you the goals.

It will be amazing to see them for the first time.

Here is Marner with a great feed to set up the game tying goal.

Enjoy, and you're welcome.

I dont think we'll see plays like this ever again in the game of hockey!

It’s interesting because Vegas will have to shed some depth to a slot Marner into his 1-2 role with Eichel on a team getting older.

The best part is everyone saying how much he’s going to score on Eichel’s wing, as if for some reason Vegas is going to let Mitch be the puck dominant quarterback farming second assists instead of their better skating, passing, shooting, possession controlling center.

In the playoffs, the Knights were needing goals, Eichel was snake bitten / passing a lot, I actually have no idea how Eichel-Marner would look.

Vegas putting together the most expensive shutdown line with Marner, Karlsson and Stone.

He really is a great player and would be a huge loss. Big decisions have to be made.
