Marner has contributed to more goals than Nylander in the playoffs.

Not sure who is helping more...

Naw... too many people using useless stats to keep track of.
Switching from 'scoring' to 'contributing to'.

Last three years (again, using your time frame) Nylander leads the team in ppg, but of course you have to use a smaller sample size despite your whining about other people doing it, even when they don't.

Speaking of "useless stats", you picked +/- over goals?

Which is the most important game out of all of them?

I just want someone to say Marner > Kucherov because he has produced 1 more assist than Kucherov in game 7s.
Marner isn't better than Kucherov.

You were trying to make that argument yourself earlier, had it blown out of the water, and now want someone to make it for you.

No one is going to make that argument, because nobody believes Marner's single solitary secondary assist SEVEN years ago makes him a better player than Nikita Kucherov, other than you.

Edmonton went to the cup final 2 years in a row. I don't think he is worrying about money period.

Edmonton has gotten pretty close. A heck of a lot further than the Leafs have. If Edmonton could dump Nurse and got better goaltending they are right there.

Edmonton is almost like prime Pittsburgh with Crosby, Malkin, and Letang. Their issue is the don't have Fleury in net.

With Marner and the others the salary and cap always was a problem for them. Their contracts were always about setting up their next contract, not about winning.

Had Matthews, Marner, and Nylander each signed 8 year deals the leafs would have had Marner for 2 more years at $11 million and Nylander for $7 million still. The difference is Knies contract extension. They could have learned from losing Hyman but why would they. The difference is instead of Hyman leaving they are keeping Hyman (Knies) and letting Marner f*** off.
congratulations on being the tallest midget YAY!!!

Canada day will be a very beautiful day when he signs somewhere else. Good riddance. The guy is a loser (in hockey, not in his life) and so are his other 3 teammates.

The chest pumping has already started on the trade board. Apparently Marner will sign with Vegas because he wants to win.

How heavily should one weigh games 5-7? I am trying to figure out the criteria?

McDavid doesn't seem to do well in close out games vs Florida... should he be put down the list of best players? That seems to be shared with the Leafs...

Thank you for avoiding the question since you can't answer it honestly and keep up with your argument.
Kucherov can't hear you. He's got 2 Stanley Cup rings plugging his ears.

McDavid doesn’t disappear in the playoffs . He’s been instrumental in taking his team to the cup finals two years in a row, won the Conn Smythe trophy and lead the league in playoff scoring three times. Sure he hasn’t won a cup but that’s because they have terrible goaltending and played the best playoff team in the post cap era in the finals. If Marner had this success and taken less money on a long term contract to help build a cup contender he would have a statue on Legends Row. Comparing Marner to McDavid is delusional.

I didn't start this comparison. The main reason why a lot of the children on this forum wanted Mitch gone is because he disappears in Games 6 and 7. How did McDavid do in the SCF in Games 6 this year and in Games 6 and 7 in the SCF last year. Just saying, if we are going to have a standard that games 6 and 7 are everything when it comes to evaluating a hockey player, what is good for the Mitch is good for the Connor.

He appears to disappear in games 5-7 in the finals...

Well if you want to change the DNA , this sure would be a seismic change.... BTW that is not photoshopped that is actually a grown man , trolling a team that his team just kicked the snot out of..... LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Far heavier than you currently are.

Answer me this: do you have any problems with Mitch Marner's playoff performances? At all?

In games 5-7 of the last two cup finals, McDavid has produced more points than Marner has in games 5-7 through the entirety of his 6 year deal, combined.

Every time a new player pops into your head as a comparable, you look even more silly.

Yes, I do.

The issue with the core has been consistency, and none of them performing at the same time.

Marner has been one of the least consistent, that is my biggest issue.

He had one good game out of 5.

I guess if that's the bar for the best player in the world, Marner is doing fine.
