The closest I can think of was Taylor Hall. He was aiming for a big payday and decided to go to Buffalo for a 1yr deal to increase his value and then ended up signing a shitty deal with Boston who then traded him to a bottom dweller in Chicago. I’m not so sure . Tkachuk was always a tough shit disturbing player, just the type they fashioned their team after.
Marner is not that type of player, never has been and never will be. Just not a good fit for Florida, especially with the way they structure their cap allotments
