It is Treliving's fault though. It's not bias to state the undeniable truth.Your inability to acknowledge that that is not Tre's fault exposes your bias.

Every team in NHL history has won the Stanley Cup without Mitch Marner. That will continue to be a fact for all of recorded time.If it wasn’t money what was it
How did they screw up the chance to sign him
I doubt it will be a worse team
If losing him hurts future cup potential how have the last 100 or so cup winners managed without Marner.
So by your logic, Bennet is worth more than McDavid, right?
How is it BT's fault? It is Treliving's fault though. It's not bias to state the undeniable truth.
They aren't in mutual agreement to part ways if:How is it BT's fault?
Looks like they are in mutual agreement to part ways.
Brad's fault would be not trading him last offseason if his long term plan was to not resign him. But loser fans threatening Marner's life online and acting like jackasses would be a bigger reason Marner would want out of here.
Being in charge the blame is his whether it's warranted or not.How is it BT's fault?

Thankyou Mitch, all the best except when you play us.They aren't in mutual agreement to part ways if:
This is a Marner-driven decision. Not one the Leafs are making happily.
- The Leafs offered 8x$13.5m earlier this season
- The Leafs continue to engage with the Marner camp, who won't respond.
Rather he take a hike than pay him 13 mill. That one million wont be much of a diff maker.Mitch rumored to being offered 14 plus million , hopefully he gives us a discount and signs for 13 so we can praise him for the next 8 yrs !
I guess maybe you are right. More that Brad became aware that Marner was unlikely to resign so he tried to move him.Being in charge the blame is his whether it's warranted or not.
He always wanted to re-sign him and sounds like he still does, so it isn't a mutual agreement.
Was the offer ever confirmed? There has been so many different reports it seems tough to know what is actually going on.They aren't in mutual agreement to part ways if:

From Dreger - who has an inside line to the Marner camp. Was the offer ever confirmed? There has been so many different reports it seems tough to know what is actually going on.
He doesn't want to be a Leaf. It was obvious all year, but so many seemed to be in denial about it.Seems crazy Mitch would turn down 13.5 if he wanted to be a Leaf.
He may not want to be a Leaf but I think it is more the Leafs deciding he is no longer part of the solution or better yet, they have seen enough on his pathetic playoff performances. From Dreger - who has an inside line to the Marner camp.

It's debatable at this point whether it's a blunder, mostly because it hasn't happened yet. This is a big blunder on the franchise. My power ranking of blame is as follows for Marner leaving for nothing
1. Shanahan
2. Dubas
3. Marner
4. Babcock/Lou
5. Pelley
6. Treliving
7. Posters of HF / Fans / Media
Bennet has double McDavid's goals this year. That means he's worth twice as much!Bennet has 40 goals in 106 playoffs games, while McDavid has 44 goals in 95 playoffs games, so no actually.
McDavid also has a Conn Smythe to go along with a trophy case full of hardware Bennett could only dream of. But not only does Bennett have a lower g/gp in the playoffs than McDavid but Bennett has also never had more goals in one postseason than McDavid has in all his playoffs combined. So even by Mess' logic McDavid is still worth more.
Do you actually read what you respond to or just go straight into twisting it into something it's not in order to suit whatever your purpose is at that time?
I think Marner knows the shine has worn off his name with this organization and city. A city that he calls home has turned on him which in turn has made it difficult for he and his family to make it their home. He has no one to blame but himself for how things have turned out. He could have become an icon in this city for ever.
But instead he will become the biggest back stabber in Toronto sports history. He and his family will be forced to leave Toronto. If everyone thought JT going back to the island was bad and still is. Wait until this fraud comes back to play in Toronto what will happen!!!!! It will be bad.
Then imdeed it seems pretty cut and dryFrom Dreger - who has an inside line to the Marner camp.

5 Forwards named ahead of him, all of which will likely be making at minimum 1m less than Marner come next seasonMarner not listed as one of the first 6 on team Canada's roster.
