This isn't a bad take. There's nothing wrong with this whatsoever. Free up salary and get 3 other players that have a proven track record of putting up points when it matters. All the best to M&M.

Remember when Marner had 4 shots in the first game that were literally joke shots and some people posted about it like it was the invention of sliced bread.

I think I get why Marner falls off, it takes teams some time to adjust, and then poof it's all gone. Literally all Florida did this game was watch him high and bam, turnover turnover turnover.

I repeat, 0 shots the last two games.

You can't even pretend like he's trying to score.

What would you like him to do? Skate past people off the rush or dig in the boards? Shoot off the rush with his nerf gun?

Marner's game is actually good, if he gets away from Matthews. He's the focal point.

Im starting to believe that Matthews is the anchor, it really wouldnt hurt to try them on different lines for next game since our third line sucks ass anyway.
But that will never happen, because these guys would rather sit out than be separated and demoted to the 3rd.

One of the hardest things to do in life in general is to know when to cut your loss and move on. Much easier to "run it back" in leafs parlance

Below is a screenshot from game 3. The puck is being passed to the point and Marner is covering his face with his glove (afraid of injury) and the puck is long from reaching the defender. He is doing this all the time...Ive never seen another player do it. If a player is fearing injury in playoff hockey like he does, good luck!
