The contract situation will be resolved one way or the other before long, that doesn't mean people won't still be discussing it years from now. Consider that I've seen so many posts about Dubas in the last few days, my eyes hurt. At least I haven't seen anyone talk about Kadri's salad eating habits in some time, that's something I guess.

Agreed, I just find it weird people keep still crying about Rantanen. Right now having him probably doesn’t make that much of a difference in the outcome. Our team has been more than fine without him. I’m tryna cheer for our guys. If people like Rantanen so much, go cheer for Dallas. He’s our competition

Purely petty reasons for me. With regards to Marner's contract negotiations I got in a few heated debates with the Marner vs Rantanen comparison with those people swearing Ranta is a pure product of Mackinnon and a mid player without him. All just dumb internet arguments at the end of the day I guess.

It's pretty silly, Rantanan and Marner couldn't be any more different players, not really comparable at all.

He's been ok but if not for 88, 67, 23, and the D, 16 and 34 would be getting more heat. At some point the foot soldiers' numbers will dry up and they will need 16 34 and 91 to produce more than they have.
