You do realize shooting a puck while rolling can go anywhere. You have a small degree of control but nothing like when it lays down.

Your watching the box score marner has made great pk plays but he’s been on for a lot of the goals against and him and Matthews are paired n I know for a fact Matthews isn’t on for the same amount of goals against last years pk with marner on it succed and at times he was a direct result of the goal if you watch with unbias eyes you’ll see who’s doing what and not the box score where at times there empty points Matthews included if Matthews doesn’t make the defensive play to spring marner who blew the zone early to receive a pucc at the offensive blue line that ends up being a bad play no? Another time marner did it and they didn’t recover the pucc and it ended up being a high danger scoring chance against that Stolarz has to bail him out on Matthew isnt cheating for offence at all he’s not allowed to as the center who should also play high in the zone but since marner isn’t really trying to engage down low Matthews has to play low on the offensive end and defensive end I’m not trying to diminish what marner brings but there’s no way I’m watching someone single out Matthews for doing more than his job the only thing he isn’t doing is scoring but news flash he hasn’t all year he’s dialled up every other part of his game I give him full marks for that

It is normal than marner who's playing red position in PK play higher than matthews who's playing orange? Yes that's exactly the leafs strategy and if he didn't plsy that way, we wouldn't do his job in PK except if he switch position with the second foward so at this moment he should stay down low.

This is hockey as a whole. There's a degree of intentionality, a degree of just acting on instinct, and a degree of seeing things subconsciously. Most highlight reel goals the player never intends the exact outcome all the way through but just adapts to the situation as it plays out. Marner probably saw something. Seeing the kind of plays he's made in the past I wouldn't doubt it

I enjoy the player evaluation after each game, but they are winning which trumps all right now. This team is definitely resilient, and guys like Domi and Patches are scoring some timely goals.

It's a wonder how good this team is when supporting cast step it up, I'm tired seeing guess like Nick Paul crush our dreams... now we are doing to other teams.

No shitting intended. From what I’ve learned, is that one critic on Marner is that most of his shots comes from the perimeter, as did this one. I’ve also seen posters trying to glorify it as a great shot, which it wasn’t. But hey, it went in. Sorry if I mistook you for someone else.

Every team has its own pay structure so comparing other teams players to leafs players is pointless.
Mathews is 1325000 per
Willy is 11.5 per
Marner will be between them. Leads them in points in regular season and playoffs so I say 12.75 m per

No way can they not pay he more. He is the better player. More points in both the regular season and playoffs. Plays a ton of minutes defending leads.
