Your focusing on Matthews that’s your choice to do so I’m focusing on both of them split them and force them both out of their comfort zone we’ve seen Matthew’s produce without marner and we think marner can produce without Matthews it’ll fix the current domi line and the current top line knies shouldn’t be the offensive star Matthews was a beast on the defensive end and marner made some key plays but theyre not getting paid to be just that it’s okay cause we scored 5 goals but can’t expect that to continue is all I’m saying

Yes he does but that line needs to be much better which was my point you can focus on the injured player all you want personally I think it’s pointless hes injured and we know that he needs easy looks that’s what marner is supposed to provide like the deflect pass from behind the net to Matthews that’s how he has to produce if marner cant do that move him to a line that’s going to maximize his talents dont sticc him to someone who’s not working only to pass blame that doesn’t win us a cup or put us in a position to win a cup that’s all that matters isnt it ?

Switching two lines that aren’t producing is switching everything lol I hope you know anyone with sense can see how foolish you are lol the top line didnt look good they produced in spite of Matthews and marner not cause of that was blatantly clear

I think it’s time to break up the line, just spread the big boys out. Give Matthews, Domi and put Marner with McMann and Holmberg and have three scoring lines.

Maybe if they get cooked in a game.

The issue with that is that they are very good together shutting down the opposing teams top line.

Mixing the lines might create a lottle more offense, but you sacriice the defensive part of the game and then nothing really changes.

The Leafs havn't had too much of a problem scoring so far. If they lose a couple in a row and struggle to score I think that is the time to possibly consider it

Marner was pretty bad last night, looked scared again. Got the assist, and a nice block at the end, but he needs to be better. If Matthews isn’t scoring, he needs to make it happen some other way. This is what guys that want $12-$13 million are supposed to do.
