I was sucked back in somehow about 2 years ago. I remember being super impressed with how Marner was playing in particular, then we added ROR, Schenn, McCabe (and a couple of lesser adds) at the TDL, I thought that on paper that was the best Leaf team I'd ever seen. Then against Florida the bottom fell out and now I'm not saying these guys can't do it, I'm just saying that I need to see it before I believe it. There are also some regular season games that I'm at least somewhat interested in, the next three are all in that category so looking forward to tomorrow night. GLG!

The bruins have never been a bottom feeder team. They have always been one of the better teams in the east. Their play from the regular season translates over. Same with the Rangers, while they may not have won the cup. They’ve made the conference finals multiple times. They weren’t shitty teams. They took winning in the regular season serious.

Only because how they lose is an insight into how they will face adversity in the playoffs. If there character is to get boos for a shit game and respond with two more shit games people aren't exactly thinking contender anymore.

It definitely feels like we’ve been cursed or on the bad side of “luck” if you will. I don’t think a team can replicate losing that many game 7’s even if they tried

oh right in my mind I was in first year university listening to that last game on an audio stream in the library but that was 03/04 and now I can remember watching Hossa score on Belfour in game 1 vs Ottawa that same year. when the Leafs tied it late to send it to OT to keep their season alive. was that 07?

They have become boring under Berube. You can be good and exciting in the regular season. See Avs, Jets and Oil. Hard to believe this team can't score goals with more than half the cap going to 4 super, elite forwards.

He's destroying Draisaitl 46-33. As great a year Scheifele and Connor are having, they are not close to Mitch. Hell, Mitch is up on McJesus. Pay him already and alot.

I wouldn’t go that far (McDavid), but he’s certainly the second best player in the league. He’s shown that year after year, and now he’s carrying the Leafs with his extraordinary playmaking. Take away him, and who’s going to pass it to the goalscorers? That’s right - no one!

if we look at McDavid vs Matthews or MacKinnon vs Matthews. McDavid and MacKinnon attack the zone with such speed and back up the defense opening up a shot or pass for others. Matthews doesn’t do that for his line.
