Any thoughts on Ranger? How good is he?

He's good and was surprised to see the deal. I figured they must (HAD) to have a import coming in or else this deal doesn't happen.

He's very quick, especially the glove and invested in every moment, I think the Wolves board won't be posting concerns about goaltending this upcoming season. Wish the best to Ranger, but I won't like seeing him in the opposite net against a Central Div opponent, I could see him closing the gate and getting a couple of shutouts, nice deal for the Wolves.

Looking to get more involved with the OHL and more specifically the Steelheads. I'm going to purchase tickets for their first two home games.

Any info pertaining to Steelheads/OHL IE: twitter follows, blogs, youtube, etc?

TIA

Steelheads are primed for an exciting season. Do yourself a favour and just take the plunge for seasons tickets.

I'm not sure if Iain Colpitts still reports on the Steelheads but he's a good follow on Twitter for Steelheads news (or at least was when I was a STH). Brock Otten as well - he'll post a ton about OHL either here or on twitter regarding a bunch of OHL skaters.

The Steelheads got one of two needed D. Does acquiring Struthers mean Hardie will not be back; or, Richmond moves Collin then trades for an OA D?

Struthers is an 04' and seems like he is going to factor into the bottom 6 at best.

OA's will likely be Hardie, Callaghan, and one of Collins/Uberti.

Seems like Struthers is insurance for Valdemar William Hull if he decides not to come over from Switzerland. Otherwise they have another trade lined up involving a guy like Chisholm or they do not want to give Forgione/Binnie/prospects a chance to crack the lineup.

Cool.
I had thought Uberti was a lock considering Richmond gave up 2, 3, & 4 picks to acquire him.

Richmond has added three left shot forwards between Schwindt (3rd and youngest of the brothers), Hull, and Struthers. If I was a depth forward on LW I would be taking this as more than a hint. Richmond isn’t interested in Chisholm or Forgione. Binnie got some time in the back half of the season, so I suspect Richmond sees something in him.

Chisholm was at Montreal’s development camp and was listed as a standout in an article I read on NHL.com. He needs playing time, so hopefully a trade is in the works for him, otherwise he will get buried in the lineup. Hate to see him leave the fish — him and Veccia are the only forwards that play a heavier game.

OAs will be Callaghan, Hardie, Uberti. No way they exit Uberti after what they paid for him.

That said, Uberti underperformed / didn’t seem to be a good fit. Never quite gelled with Hardie and Del Bel, and the demotion of Collins didn’t help Collins either.
