Post-Game Talk: Miserable Matinee

Look, I'll dumb it down for you.

We both think Skinner is a problem. My solution for the upgrade is to replace him with a competent goalie. But that will also likely increase your payroll (cap) by about 2-3 million. You have to pay for what you get (Campbell excluded).
We already have a competent backup who is NOT the problem and comes at the tidy cap hit of 1 million. Salary aside, he's been one of the better backups this year. If you remove him, as you suggested, for a Skinner upgrade/competition, and keep Skinner, now you're adding 4-5 million to a team that's already pressed up against the cap. Pickard may not be the ultimate "solution", as you've consistently said, but removing cheap pieces that are playing well, is akin to getting rid of a cheap but top performing penalty killing 3rd liner because the first line winger is not doing his job.

Yeah...so you don't even know my opinion, don't even know that I've actually argued pretty much exactly what you're arguing leading to and on deadline day, and yet still insist that I want to replace Pickard and not Skinner (even though I said more than once that they're on a similar level but one costs 1.6 times as much as the other).

You're just talking to yourself here.

Never said you didn't want to replace Skinner, don't put words in my mouth, silly. You wanted to dump Pickard as well, and I disagreed. I can write it down slower for you if you think that will help you?;)

Um, when did I say this? Like two months ago? In fact, I'm pretty sure I was open to replacing either goalie at the time. I just wanted some kind of solution.

I don't know what your point is, other than I agreed with something you said and added to it, but you got offended by this because you have trouble comprehending the written word (and are clearly insecure about something), got embarrassed when I pointed this out, and now you're just dragging on this pointless exchange for god knows what reason.

But two months is a long time for you to still be this frustrated over something I said, especially when it was an opinion shared by many here. I'm flattered that you think my opinions are worth remembering for so long...and a bit creeped out.

"two goalies who would be minor leaguers by now on 31 other teams even without Schwartz."

"It makes no sense to put all of your faith in two goalies who are clearly not the answer and have been our most glaring weakness all season. And I'm not convinced that Pickard would be an "actual NHL goalie" on most other teams"

Doesn't sound like you wanted to keep Pickard since you don't think Pickard is an actual NHL goalie, let alone a "solution."

Didn't have to back much more than week, not 2 months.;) I know time flies for some people , but you've managed to put some questioning into Einstein's theories.

At any rate, I'm done with this conversation.

Yeah, did I say that after his last three games? Probably not. My opinions change based on a player's performance and he's played pretty well lately.

Glad you're done tagging me in your little tangents, though I have a feeling I'll still be living rent-free in that spacious noggin. Now you can go back to getting confused by other people's posts.
