Post-Game Talk: Miserable Matinee

Didn't see the game but... no McDavid, Draisaitl and Ekholm against a team that has 4 home losses on the season. Some games are pointless to analyze and this one is the epitome of that, move on to the next one.

What do you disagree with. Kuzmenko has 8pts for Kings in last 4gp and has been leading them in every game. What did we get? WE have the weakest goaltending of any club headed into playoffs and the issue wasn't even looked at. Sure we can beat the Kings, not saying different. We could lose to them too. This is the worst record by the club in several years and firmly in third place.

Kuzmenko has been a better addition to LA than either Arvid or Skinner. This org loves getting older players that are mostly washed up.
At one point this season we were first in the Division and third in the League.. what happened to the team..

You are obsessed.

Lol. Ok, let's just logically look who's obsessed.

Kuzemenko beats Pickard clean with no screen.

From virtually the same spot Reinhart beats Skinner with a partial screen.

Pickard made a bunch of nice saves yesterday. Skinner robbed Tkachuk, Verhaige and Barkov of some key goals to keep the team in it.

In both games the Oilers did little offensively, hence the loss.

Yet you blame Skinner 100% for game 7 and give Pickard a pat on the back

No, no, it's pretty clear who is obsessed with who.

He’s being ridiculous. Stop defending it.

I was actually adding to your point about Pickard, but it’s quite telling how defensive you’re getting.

And you don’t have to say “once again” if you already said “again.” ;)
You don't have a point, dude. you lost the plot a long time ago.;)

Your idea of solving a problem is removing a solid piece and trying to upgrade it, while leaving the problem piece alone. Taking out Pickards 1 million and replacing it with a likely much larger contract, while leaving a 2.6 million dollar contract in place. On a team that is up against the cap and needs every dollar it can.

And thanks for the linguistics lesson.

LA had a goal called back as well on an offside over ruling and another two posts. The game wasn't really even as close as scoreline.

Unfortunately all the games when it matters will be tough and involving good teams. Nothing about this club this season is pointing to it being any force. Not even goal differential. We don't score a lot and we have questionable goaltending.

Heres another unfortunate aspect. OIlers haven't improved hardly at all at TDL or during season. We'e failed to improve goaltending, Jones is nothing, Klingberg not even playable, Frederic is just what he is and Walman is an OK addition.

LA made one move at TDL and it was getting Kuzmenko who was the best player on ice for either club by a wide margin and frankly has been the Kings best player since they got him. Now this doesn't say much about the Kings squad but he's better than anything we brought in this whole season or offseason. This guy has already had several better games for the Kings than we'e got out of say Arid or Skinner all season.
I'd give Frederic a little more of a chance than 7 minutes in his first game back after being out a month. Not sure what is meant by "just what he is." I think once hegets up and going, you'll see he brings a huge element to this teamm that they are sorely missing. Had couple scrums around the net, and hit Doughty, causing a menstrual cramp as he limped to the bench.

As for Kuzmenko, he has a history of starting out like a house on fire and then wearing out his welcome. There is a reason he's on his 4th team in 3 years.
